The long-distance hiking trail Streek-GR Haspengouw is a 130-kilometer circular route through the nature of Haspengouw.
This GR route is marked with yellow and red stripes and also passes through part of Riemst: Membruggen and Genoelselderen. Even in just these two villages, you’ll encounter a diverse landscape, including the Demer’s source area in the Molenbeemd, farmland, fruit orchards, and the Genoels-Elderen Wine Castle.
Grootbos Bivouac Zone
In Genoelselderen, hikers even have the option to bivouac. It’s free, but reservations are required.
