Did you know that you can also visit the Marl Caves in Zichen-Zussen-Bolder? These caves are not visible from the outside and are located directly beneath the village.
For hundreds of years, the Marl Caves of Zichen have played an important role in the village, both for the mining of marlstone and as shelters for the local population. The underground spaces were later tastefully converted into a gallery where culture, archaeology, and history weave their way through a labyrinth of kilometers of tunnels.
