This walk takes you from Kanne to the Eben-Emael Fort and back. A perfect combination of the limestone landscape and the wartime history of this border area.
At the Eben-Emael Fort, you'll climb to the top of the plateau, then head to a viewpoint overlooking the Albert Canal, the Lanaye lock, and the Plateau of Caestert. A visit to the Fort? We highly recommend it.
Break with cave mushrooms
On your way to the Fort, you’ll pass by the Kanne Caves and the Kanne marina. At the marina, you can take a break on the terrace and/or try a dish with cave mushrooms.
